Covid-19 Update for Patients and family of Arkansas Women’s Center

The physicians and staff of Arkansas Women’s Center are very concerned about the COVID19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. We want to give you, our patients, some direction for care.

We are now scheduling yearly visits, emergency/urgent gynecologic visits, and pregnancy visits.

Companion Policy in Clinic and at Baptist Health

To better protect our staff and patients from contracting COVID-19, patients may bring only one adult visitor to exams and ultrasounds. If possible, please refrain from bringing any visitors. No children visitors (non-patients) under the age of 15 will be allowed on the Baptist Health Little Rock campus.

For your safety, and that of our community of patients, caregivers, and babies, patients in labor & delivery or postpartum may have one visitor for the entirety of their stay. This visitor may leave and return to the hospital, but may not switch with another person. The NICU will only allow entry to parents with an arm band tagging them to their baby. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding.

Health Screening

We have set up a health screening area in the lobby of the clinic building, which includes a health questionnaire and a body temperature screening, via infrared no-touch thermometer.

Any patients exhibiting flu-like symptoms will be triaged and sent to our Baptist Little Rock campus emergency area for screening.

If you are pregnant with a temperature of >100.4 F, we will ask that you wait in an area away from the other patients so we can best assess you without concern for spreading infection.

If you are not pregnant and are determined to be high risk, potentially infectious, or have a temperature of >100.4 F, you will not be seen and will be directed to the appropriate resources.

Use of Face Masks

We ask that all patients, companions, and visitors wear masks for their own safety, and the safety of those around them. Thank you for doing your part to take care of our community!

To learn more about the use of face masks and how they protect us all, please visit the CDC website here.

Telemedicine

We are still available to ALL our patients via telephone. We have also began offering telemedicine appointments. If you have an issue that we can address using your phone or technology like Facetime or Zoom, we will attempt to accommodate that. Please call and make an appointment or speak with one of our nurses.
