Adolescent Gynecology

At Arkansas Women’s Center, we are focused on building relationships based on trust and respect and providing our patients with state-of-the-art care.

We understand that the changes associated with puberty can be overwhelming for everyone.  We help guide our youngest patients through any gynecologic-related questions, concerns, or symptoms including painful or heavy cycles, contraception discussions, and counseling regarding HPV vaccination. The vast majority of the time, a pelvic examination is not required or indicated prior to age 21. If a patient has a specific concern or examination is indicated, we are aware of the potential for discomfort and work very hard to make a patient’s first gynecologic encounter as easy and empowering as possible.
