If you're late for a period and think that you might be pregnant, do a home pregnancy test. The tests you can purchase at any pharmacy/grocery store are virtually the same urine test we do in the clinic. If you have a positive test, call us and make a new OB appointment. We like to see patients around 8 weeks from the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP). A confusing thing is that we go by weeks of pregnancy, not months. The average time from your LMP until delivery is 40 weeks.
